How our customer Lucie is using the app?

Important app functions

Kieferfreund-KnowHow equipts you with important background information, which enable a successful completion of the training.

When having the Kieferfreund app installed on your phone or tablet (most people use these devices multiple times a day for work and/or leisure), you will be reminded to carry out your daily exercises. The training plan includes scientifically grounded, tried-and-tested exercises with video instructions and the Mindfulness audio training.

The app allows you to record and track your progress made throughout the training. How boring would life be if you never received any rewards for doing well at something? We think it would be incredibly boring! That is why we have developed our ‘KieferStar’ award system for you – the Activity-Tracker.

The Recovery Tracker will show you how your symptoms have improved since the beginning of the Kieferfreund training.

To track the progress of learing the proper tongue resting position, our Tongue-Tracker will guide you through the training.

Kieferfreund provides natural retraining and re-education based on myofunctional science and Mindfulness principles.

We use practical digital tools to achieve long-lasting results and teach you how to prevent post-training relapses.

Importantly, the digitisation of the therapy allows you to transparently track the progress made during the training.

Myofunctional science and orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT) are addressing the muscle-function for muscles of the mouth and face.

OMT is a therapy that is recognised around the world to treat dysfunctionalities of the mouth, jaw and facial area. Scientific research studies have proven its effectiveness to treat teeth grinding, jaw related problems (CMD), snoring, sleep apnea and teeth/jaw misalignments.

Kieferfreund works!

I had severe problems with grinding and snoring and was looking for help for a long time. Then I came across Kieferfreund, which sounded very appealing to me because I read that results can be achieved in a short period of time, simply by learning the correct tongue resting position and relaxing the jaw.

I must admit, I was sceptical at first – it sounded too good to be true. Especially, how can I control my tongue when I sleep. Having nothing to lose, I gave it a go.

After 2 weeks, the pain caused by grinding decreased significantly. The little blue wristband that comes in the box was the perfect helper to remind me of where my tongue should be. After experiencing success, I felt encouraged to continue the training.

One morning, about 3 weeks into the training, I woke up with my tongue in the correct position. I was relieved and excited! It really worked! Due to learning the correct tongue resting position, I realised I was even able to tackle my snoring problem.

I’m very pleased with the results. I’m not easily convinced, but this time I have to give 5 stars! Thanks a lot to the Kieferfreund team.

Early successes with the Kieferfreund Roller

Healthy fascia require stretching and pressure. Elastic, spring-like movements, as they occur when we are chewing happily & naturally, support the absorption of moisture and elasticity of the fascia in the jaw area.
You can compare this to slowing squeezing out of a sponge – old liquid is pressed out of the fascial tissue, and new liquid flows in during the following relaxation phase. Just like a sponge absorbing water. This makes the fascia more smooth and functional. The fibroblasts determine the degree of tension in the connective tissue; when they expand, the fascia relax. This stretching takes place through movement, stretching and pressure massage on the fascia. With the Jaw Yoga exercises and the Kieferfreund Roller, hardened fascia can be loosened/relaxed, improving function and mobility and releasing painful adhesions of course!
A wonderful plus, is the resulting increased blood circulation in the skin, which ensures a youthful and well recovered appearance after your training is complete.
How to stop teeth grinding? With the Kieferfreund Roller, fascia in the jaw area can be relaxed and kept healthy.

The roller supports jaw relaxation, especially when muscles and fascia that have been tense for years can only be loosened with exertion due to an imbalance and incorrect tongue resting position.

The effect can usually be felt within a few days.

The Kieferfreund Roller is the optimal preparation of the fascia for training with the Kieferfreund app.

When the fascia are warmed up, you will be able to optimize training results.

The Kieferfreund Trainer optimises your tongue posture and ensures permanant results!

With the Kieferfreund App, learning and testing the correct tongue rest position is taught with the help of instruction videos.

In addition to the Kieferfreund App, the Kieferfreund Trainer supports a faster and more effective result.

The tongue plays a key role in balancing the orofacial system (mouth, jaw and face) and therefore is also linked to the causes and treatments of teeth grinding, jaw- related pain, snoring and other dysfunctionalities.

The Kieferfreund trainer was developed by Julia Reindl in collaboration with dental and medical experts and has been tested in a therapeutic setting over many years. As opposed to other trainers or dental splints, you only have to use the Kieferfreund trainer for 2 minutes a day. The trainer helps you to learn and test the correct tongue resting position and works very well to support our NoGrind, NoSnore and Ortho packages. The trainer is very user-friendly and can be used almost anywhere – e.g. on a business trip, on holiday, when staying at a friend’s place or simply at home.

How to stop teeth grinding? Worldwide, the ‘Kieferfreund Trainer’ presents the only tool that was specifically developed to allow for learning and testing of the correct tongue resting position. You will be able to learn about the healthy tongue resting position via bio-feedback by using the tactile points on the trainer.

The Kieferfreund trainer is made up of: A ‘tongue part‘, which has 3 tactile points, a vestibule shield and a handle to securely hold the trainer.

As the tactile points allow you to establish whether your tongue is in the correct resting position, they ensure that you are doing the training correctly. Training daily will allow the muscles of your tongue to get stronger, which will also make it easier to adopt the correct tongue resting position.
